Lalish Temple – Yazidi Spiritual Center

What Is It?

Lalish is the holiest site of the Yazidi faith, located in a peaceful valley in northern Iraq. It is believed to be the place where Sheikh Adi ibn Musafir, a key reformer of the Yazidi religion, is buried. Yazidis are required to make a pilgrimage here at least once in their lifetime.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Experience the spiritual calm of Lalish, where pilgrims walk barefoot inside the temple grounds.

  • Visit sacred springs, shrines, and the tomb of Sheikh Adi.

  • Witness Yazidi traditions that have been preserved for centuries.

A Monument That Speaks to the Heart

Lalish is not just a temple—it is the soul of the Yazidi people. Visiting here is a reminder of Iraq’s religious diversity and the endurance of spiritual traditions that go back thousands of years.
